Managerial Moment of Truth
by Bruce Bodaken and Robert Fritz
| The book Managerial Moment of Truth has had an immediate impact with our clients and us. As it says on the cover, it really is the essential step in helping peole improve performance. The Managerial Moment of Truth (MMOT) is a conversation that happens when there is a discrepency between actual and desired employee performance. The 4 step process is easy to remember and works in the real world (as our clients have quickly realized). The book also does a great job in showing how the process applies to many common real-life situations like working in teams, chronic mistakes and many others. We liked the book so much that both Zo and Tom will be certified by Robert Fritz himself to teach the course. We are excited to offer one-day MMOT training to our offering starting in November. |

The Five Dysfunctions of a Team
by Patrick Lencioni
| The Five Dysfunctions of a Team remains one of our favourite Team Development books. Written as a fable, it quickly and effectively gets to the heart of 5 key issues or dysfunctions that are often faced by teams- lack of trust, fear of conflict, lack of commitment, avoidance of accountability, and the inattention to results. It is a quick and simple read and provides ideas of how to overcome these dysfunctions. Our hats off to Patrick Lencioni! |
